Best 3 days in Morocco Oh my God, what a great experience!! Everything was spot on, really great. The guide, punktual, funny, entertaining and full of knowledge. Also, his driving skills were great, the driving itself was very safe, I always felt certain with him. He was generous, kind and open-minded. He showed us plenty of interesting places and when we wanted to do or didn't want to do something, he was very flexible and changed the program according to the current situation and our mood. Absolutely great behavior, funny guy with good sense of humor. The program itself was very interesting and intensive. We saw every type of moroccan landscape and experienced a night in the desert. The accomodations were amazing, they served us so much good food (for example in the first hotel, we had 6 courses, which was crazy, but everything was absolutely delicious), that we were full after a few minutes. Everyone was really kind to us and altogether generous. We were travelling from Marrakesh to Merzouga and then to Fes, all these places in 3 days. The car we were using during this trip was very well air-conditioned, spacious and adequate for the four of us. We even got the chance to ride on camels. What a once-in-life oppurtunity and a great experience! Thanks again guys! Everything was planned for us, we didn't have to do anything, we didn't have to communicate in advance with any of the accomodations or places we visited... Just top service for us. We felt really relaxed and enjoyed it so much, I can't even express it all. Thanks again to the one and only guide, Saïd, who was absolutely amazing, calm in driving and who made our experience undeniably better. The only thing I can say, I recommend it with all my heart and if you're wondering whether to go for it or not, stop doing that and 100% go for it. This agency get pretty much prepare the program exactly for you. You can discuss anything in advance and don't be afraid to ask about anything. They are really friendly 😊 thanks a lot and I wish you just the best guys. Keep doing what you're doing! Because you're doing it honestly really well!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

10 Incredible Days in Morocco with an Amazing Team My wife and I just finished a 10-day tour of Morocco with Navigate Morocco, and it exceeded every expectation we had. We booked the Superior package, but honestly, it felt like a luxury experience from start to finish. Our driver, Youssef, was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, always on time, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. He shared so much about Moroccan culture, history, and local life that the long drives flew by. The local guides were fantastic as well. Amen in Fes was incredibly informative and passionate about the city's rich history, making the medina come alive. Mustapha in Marrakech was equally excellent, giving us an authentic look at the city's history, architecture, and hidden gems. The accommodations were exceptional. Every riad and hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully selected. The Sahara Eden Camp was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff there were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our desert experience unforgettable. From the hospitality to the food, music, and accommodations, everything was amazing. We also loved traveling in the brand-new, spacious minivan. It was spotless, extremely comfortable, and made the longer travel days relaxing instead of tiring. From the planning to the execution, everything was seamless. Every detail was taken care of, allowing us to simply enjoy the incredible scenery, culture, food, and hospitality of Morocco. If you're considering a trip to Morocco, I can't recommend Navigate Morocco highly enough. They delivered an unforgettable experience, and we would absolutely book with them again. Thank you to Youssef, Amen, Mustapha, the Sahara Eden Camp staff, and the entire Navigate Morocco team for making this one of the best vacations we've ever had! 🇺🇸🇲🇦 YALLAAAPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

¡Totalmente recomendable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Serenella Giulia e Paolo - LuccaPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

Long drives and epic scenery in beautiful Morocco Thank you, Mustapha & Navigate Morocco for a fantastic, Moroccan experience on our long drive too and from Marrakech to Merzouga. Our timings did not allow for stop overs as a lot of other people do, so Mustapha worked with us to make sure he catered for our needs and worked with us to go through our best options, as we still wanted to stop off and see a couple of the many beautiful sights along the way. The drive itself is magnificent as you travel through the beautiful and diverse landscapes that Morocco has to offer. From the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, through Tizi n’Tichka pass and beyond. He is a wealth of knowledge and a fantastic driver, who know the roads and the routes like the back of his hands. Thank you Navigate Morocco for making our adventure so special. I highly recommend.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Fantastic 7-Day Morocco Adventure, Highly Recommended! We had an amazing 7-day tour with Navigate Morocco Tours, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences we’ve had. The trip started in Casablanca and took us through Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga (Sahara Desert), Ouarzazate, Marrakech, and finally back to Casablanca. Every day was full of new places, beautiful scenery, and unforgettable moments. From the blue streets of Chefchaouen to the history of Fes and the magic of the Sahara Desert in Merzouga, everything was well planned and smooth. A special thank you to our driver and guide Mustapha. He was always on time, very professional, and an excellent driver. He made us feel safe the entire trip and shared lots of information about Moroccan culture and traditions, which made the journey even more meaningful. The most beautiful trip we ever took. Like a dream ! An experience of a lifetime Thank you Navigate Morocco for a fantastic, fully immersive Moroccan experience. In particular I would like to thank our guide, Mustapha, a very knowledgeable, experienced and thoughtful young man. He is an asset to his company and a great ambassador for his country. Mustapha assured our tour from Marrakesh to Merzouga, and Fes to Volubilis and Chefchaouen, ran seamlessly. He went above and beyond to give us the best experience. My favourite time was the few days spent at the desert camp. I loved learning about the Berber nomads culture, history and music. And the camel sunset ride, a magical once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Navigate Morocco for making our adventure so special. I highly recommend.

Our 2 day desert tour from Fes is the quickest way from the imperial city to the Sahara: through the Middle Atlas and the Ziz Valley to a night in the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day one departs Fes in the morning and heads south through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou before crossing the Ziz Valley and arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon for a sunset camel trek and an overnight stay in a luxury Sahara desert camp. Day two begins with the desert sunrise before the return journey north to Fes via the same scenic route, arriving back in the city in the early evening.
At Merzouga, the Erg Chebbi dunes rise to around 150 meters, among the tallest in Morocco. North of Merzouga, the Ziz River has carved a canyon filled with date palms, one of the most photogenic stretches of the drive. Ifrane, high in the Middle Atlas, is known for its alpine-style architecture and snowy winters.
The best time for this trip is March to May or September to November. From June to August, desert afternoons can pass 40°C, and from December to February, nights in the Sahara drop close to freezing, so bring a warm layer.
This private 2 day desert tour from Fes starts from $270 per person, based on two travelers sharing, and the price per person drops for larger groups. Every itinerary can be adjusted to your dates, pace and hotel preferences. Send us your dates on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form below for a free quote.

Early morning departure from Fes, heading south through the city outskirts and into the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Ifrane, a spotlessly clean alpine town with European-style stone chalets, manicured parks, and cool mountain air that provides one of the most surprising contrasts in Morocco. The famous stone lion statue in the town square, carved to commemorate the Atlas Lions that once roamed these mountains, is worth a quick stop before continuing south.
Continue to the cedar forests around Azrou, where Atlas cedar trees tower above the road and Barbary macaque monkeys roam freely among the branches and along the roadside. These primates are found almost nowhere else on earth and a close encounter with them in their natural forest habitat is one of the more unexpected and charming highlights of this southern route. Continue through Midelt, a quiet mountain town famous for its high-quality apples and traditional Berber carpets, for a lunch stop.
After lunch, the road descends dramatically into the Ziz Valley, one of the most beautiful and photogenic landscapes in southern Morocco. The valley follows the Ziz River through a long corridor of thousands of date palms, ancient mud-brick kasbahs, and small Berber villages. Stop at the panoramic viewpoint high above the valley for sweeping photographs before continuing through the Foum Zabel tunnel and across the Tizi-n-Talghemt mountain pass toward Merzouga.
By late afternoon, the vast pre-Saharan plains open out and the towering orange dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon. Your camels will be waiting at the edge of the desert for a sunset trek across the golden sands.
As the sun descends, the dunes glow in shades of amber and rose and the silence of the Sahara settles completely around you. Arrive at your luxury desert camp to a warm welcome of mint tea and Berber bread. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under a sky full of stars, accompanied by the rhythmic sounds of live Berber music around the campfire.
Rise before dawn to witness the Sahara sunrise, one of the most peaceful and memorable moments the desert offers. As the first light of day creeps over the dunes, the desert awakens in shades of gold and pink and the silence of the Sahara at dawn is extraordinary. After breakfast at the camp, say farewell to the desert and begin the return journey north to Fes.
The drive north from Merzouga retraces the route of the previous day but in different light and from a different perspective. The morning hours cast long shadows across the Ziz Valley palm groves and the Middle Atlas landscapes look quite different heading north than they did heading south. Stop again near Azrou for the chance to see the Barbary macaques once more, and pass back through Ifrane for a coffee stop before the final stretch north to Fes.
Arrive back in Fes in the early evening. Your Navigate Morocco driver will drop you off at your accommodation or Fes Airport depending on your onward travel plans, bringing your 2-day Sahara Desert adventure to a close.
Is this a private tour?
Yes. This is a fully private tour operated exclusively for you and your travel companions by Navigate Morocco. You will have a dedicated vehicle and driver-guide for both days and will not share with any other group.
How far is Merzouga from Fes?
Merzouga is approximately 430 kilometers from Fes, around 5 to 6 hours of driving each way including stops. An early departure from Fes of around 7am is essential to arrive in Merzouga in time for the sunset camel trek.
Is Day 1 a very long drive?
Day 1 is one of the longer driving days, covering approximately 430 kilometers from Fes to Merzouga. However the route is broken up with stops in Ifrane, the cedar forest, Midelt for lunch, and the Ziz Valley viewpoint, making it a scenic and engaging day rather than a tiring one. The landscapes along this route are among the most varied and beautiful in Morocco.
What type of accommodation is included?
The overnight is in a carefully selected luxury desert camp in Merzouga, chosen for comfort, cleanliness, and authentic Moroccan desert character. The camp includes comfortable tent accommodation, shared or private bathroom facilities, dinner, breakfast, and live Berber music around the campfire in the evening.
Is the camel trek suitable for all travelers?
Yes. The sunset camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes is slow-paced and guided by experienced local handlers, making it suitable for travelers of all ages and fitness levels. A 4×4 transfer to the desert camp can be arranged as an alternative if preferred.
Can I do optional activities in Merzouga?
Yes. Optional activities including ATV quad biking, sandboarding, and 4×4 desert excursions are available locally at an additional cost paid on the day. However as this is a 2-day tour with a long drive on both days, time for optional activities is limited to the early morning of Day 2 before departure. Navigate Morocco recommends the 3-day tour from Fes if you want more time in the desert.
Can this tour be extended to 3 days?
Absolutely. Navigate Morocco offers a 3-day Sahara Desert tour from Fes that adds a full second day in the desert, giving you proper time to explore nomadic families, Khamlia Gnawa music, fossil sites, and optional activities before the return journey to Fes. Just let us know and we will build the right itinerary for you.
What is the best time of year for this tour?
The best months are March to May and September to November when temperatures are comfortable across both the mountains and the desert. Summer can be very hot in the Sahara, while winter is cooler but still manageable with appropriate clothing, particularly in the Middle Atlas.
